TRIKE SIZE NATURALLY ENFORCES 6′ RULE … SAFETY IN SOCIAL DISTANCING

ALTRUISM PEEKS ITS HEAD OUT AS WORLDWIDE COMPASSION CONFRONTS COVIT 19

The pandemic is devastating. Yet, in harnessing the power of the “force”, science unites worldwide to figure out how to best make the human condition survive in its human experience.

3 wheel logisticsAs I type, a non-prejudiced blanket of altruism-inspired compassion unfolds, It’s pulling humanity together in common purpose … united in finding and following a plan to heal. I’ve never seen such a force of worldwide united effort. Mankind is discovering and following disease control protocol that requires such a steeped cocktail of self-control and sacrifice! You can’t read about it in a history book, You have to see it … hear it … taste it. You have to feel it! It seems to help bring counterbalance to an imagined state of growing unexplored tragedy.

Do not allow the lack of sunshine mixed with the fear of catching Coronavirus consume your physical and mental stature. Temps are moving into the 60’s! BE SAFE AND GO RIDE!

THE LAST 10 MILES ARE THE BEST … ON A TRIKE

20200308_200428-1Riding into dusk on the last 10 miles of a 50-mile tour can be priceless. As the light fades from trike’s computer, the darkness releases you from an uncontrollable lock on glanced computer updates. Your focus shifts away from evaluating and supposing your level of relative conditioning and being distraught over where it’s not … where it “should be”. Your attention reverts away from the computer boogieman back to the thrills of pre-computer times adventure.

20200308_201623Your focus subconsciously moves inside. Attention centers on how revved up your motor is. Body core temperature reassumes control of vigor output. Pedaling cadence adjusts to the rhythm of relaxed breathing. You stop sweating and become totally acclimated to the surrounding environment.

After years of having the last miles of an upright adventure being spent shifting from one butt cheek to the other in discomfort, the comfort found in spending those last miles on a trike is priceless.

Blood’s been really pumping through your brain clearing out those cobwebs of thought lost to mental white noise. Stoked by a regiment of Lion’s Mane mushroom (not the purple ring kind), new insightful ideas surface. You want to ride further to allow those thoughts to mature into an enriched awareness of a self-evident understanding that’s been waving its truth in front of your face all this time … unrecognized.

20200308_193050My pedaling cadence with power thrust driven through my weight distribution from neck rest down through my core suspended in an ICE Trike carbon seat with the extended narrow VTX configuration produces the same vehicle sway as when paddling a 17′ sea kayak as all the expended energy seems to find a common front-to-back oscillation of energy wisely expended.

3 Wheel LogisticsHaving a Rohloff hub allows continual pedaling without breaking cadence. There’s no breaking of thought pattern to shift gears. It becomes a sort-of automatic flick of the wrist. Instead of paying $1K for full suspension, just a bit more and get the Rohloff. With a 700 rear wheel and a carbon or composition seat, there is no need for the extra weight and needed care for any added suspension hardware. You make your own bed as you choose what to steer your wheels over. With the relaxing rhythm set by your total body cadence, any bumps can become a relaxing back massage.

This state of child-like excitement turns a 20-mile tour into a 25-mile tour … a 40-mile tour into a 50-mile tour … an 80-mile tour into a century of delight … a Jedi space flight!

GO RIDE!
